Back with another SUDSOL sketch challenge and this is the sketch this week:

Sketch237

I opted to create a masculine birthday card with it:

The card base is an A6 portrait of Early Espresso. A mat of Baked Brown Sugar Core’dinations cardstock (129958) was run through the Big Shot in the Woodgrain embossing folder (127821) and then lightly sanded before adhering direct to the card front. The birthday sentiment from Simply Sketched (a hostess exclusive – Wood 129669 or Clear 129672was stamped onto Very Vanilla card with Soft Suede ink. This sentiment was pierced all way around using the Paper Piercing Tool (126189), Stampin’ Pierce Mat (126199) and Essentials Paper Piercing Pack (126187), before popping up on dimensionals onto a mat of Early Espresso card and then both popped up on dimensionals on the card front. For the main image, markers (Always Artichoke and Soft Suede) were used to colour direct to stamp and then a Blender Pen (102845) used to apply more subtle colouring (Old Olive, Crisp Cantaloupe, baked Brown Sugar and Soft Suede) over the top. This main image was also pierced all way around before popping up on dimensionals onto a mat of Early Espresso card and onto  the card front with more dimensionals.

On the Very Vanilla insert, the bird image was stamped again with Baked Brown Sugar ink and the sentiment from Bring on the Cake (Wood 128490 or Clear 121958was stamped with Soft Suede ink.

Have a great weekend.
