Dotty Angles card – sneak peek

June 28, 2014

A rather late share today.

I have a stand at the Sheffield Steam and Vintage Rally this weekend (it’s at the end of Rackford Road, North Anston, Sheffield S25 4DF – off the A57 between Sheffield and Worksop, if you want to pop along tomorrow). I’m mainly there sharing my South Hill Designs lockets but I also have some of my handcrafted cards for sale too.

The rally is open 10am – 5pm, Sunday 29th June. Admission to the rally is £6 Adults, £4 Concessions, £18 Family (2+2). There’s lots going on for all the family, including steam powered engines, vintage cars and caravans, donkey rides, fairground rides and dog shows.

Anyhow, that’s why I’m so late posting today 🙂

Today’s card is one that we made at our Regional Training event last month. Not my personal style and taste but then it’s good to leave your comfort zone every so often.

We got to test out two new photopolymer stamp sets; Dotty Angles and the Back to Basics Alphabet and also the new Hearts border punch. I can’t wait to get hold of that punch for my own toolkit. As well as great borders, it will make fantastic hearts confetti!

The Whisper White card base was stamped with the dots from the Dotty Angles duo at the top front of the card in Lost Lagoon ink and with the triangles from the same duo at the bottom of the card in Blackberry Bliss. Back to Basics Alphabet was used to stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink. Finally a thin strip of Hello Honey was punched with the Hearts Border and adhered below the sentiment.

Quick and simple.

Hope to see you at the Rally tomorrow 🙂
