Blue Ribbon congrats card

July 2, 2014

Hopefully there’ll be some happy occasions to celebrate for a lot of students this summer and I thought I’d share this card with you now so that there’s plenty of time to order supplies and create it ready 🙂

If you’ve no prospective graduates amongst family and friends then it’s easy to convert this to a birthday card instead.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Soft Sky, matted with So Saffron. Two different colours of the same pattern were taken from the Moonlight DSP Paper Stack and cut and adhered in opposite corners of the card front. The rosette from Blue Ribbon was stamped twice, once in Hello Honey ink and once in Lost Lagoon ink, onto Whisper White card. The Hello Honey version was punched out with the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle. Soft Sky ink was used to stamp the filler Congrats sentiment into the tails of the Lost Lagoon rosette, before cutting out by hand and adding with dimensionals behind the rosette, then popping up on the card front with more dimensionals. The Congrats Grad sentiment was stamped in Lost Lagoon onto Whisper White card, punched out with the 1-3/8″ Circle and popped up on the rosette with dimensionals.

On the inside, the sentiments from Something to Say were stamped in Lost Lagoon ink and the stars from the same set with Hello Honey ink.

Hope you’re enjoying the new catty.
