I keep making these textured cards as wedding anniversary cards – not quite sure why I match it to that occasion but I have been doing. Think I may have to try doing one as a birthday card instead soon 🙂
This particular card was for our neighbours, who like to attract wild birds to their beautiful garden.
Shimmery White card was used throughout, partly to give a stronger base than Whisper White card but also partly because it has that subtle shimmer that makes it special.
The card base is an A6 landscape of Shimmery White card. Three panels of the same cardstock were run through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan, Decorative Dots and Chevron embossing folders and adhered direct to the card front. Two full birds and two wings were punched from Shimmery White card with the Bird Builder punch, one of each were flipped over and all parts popped up on dimensionals on the card front. Leaves were punched twice from Pistachio Pudding card with the same Bird Builder, again one reversed and both adhered behind the beaks of the birds. Basic Rhinestones were added for the birds’ eyes. The sentiment from Something to Say was stamped in Wild Wasabi ink onto Shimmery White card, punched out with the Large Oval, matted onto a Scallop Oval punched from Pistachio Pudding card and popped up on the card front.
On the inside the other half of the Something to Say sentiment was stamped in Wild Wasabi ink, along with the anniversary sentiment from Memorable Moments.
Thanks for stopping by.
