Red and black pictogram birthday card

This colour combo is a favourite of my friend and so I used it for her birthday card. The red, black and white is very striking so I kept the design simple.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Real Red, matted with Basic Black. Real Red and Basic Black markers were used to colour the vase from Pictogram Punches, direct to stamp, before huffing and stamping onto a Whisper White card layer. This was matted onto Basic Black card and then popped up over Red Glimmer Paper on the card front. The two flowers from the Pictogram Punches set were stamped onto Whisper White card with Real Red ink (one of them twice), then punched out with the matching punch from Itty Bitty Accents and adhered at the top of the flower stems. Basic Rhinestones were added to the centres of each flower. After stamping the sentiment from Something to Say in Real Red ink onto Whisper White card, it was punched out with the Word Window, matted onto a Modern Label of Real Red card and popped up on the card front.

On the inside, another sentiment from the Something to Say set was stamped in Real Red ink, along with flowers from the same set.

I like the subtle bit of bling from the Glimmer Paper frame.
