I had a great time this morning catching up with my crafty friends – that was a real tonic after all my internet frustrations of late (not that they’re fixed yet – just that I was able to have good whinge to people that understand). 🙂
And of course it wasn’t all techie geek speak, (it was craft geek speak, lol), we shared ideas about swaps we’re planning for convention, how we’re loving the Autumn/Winter catty and there were also a few swaps today too!
This was mine.
I kept the swap simply stamped and took them flat, so that folks could get them home in one piece easily.
Some were in So Saffron, some Hello Honey and some Tangelo Twist. Looking at this Tangelo Twist one assembled, it’s made me think “pumpkin”! Add a leaf or two and these will be great for Halloween!
The Curvy Keepsake box piece was die cut twice from Tangelo Twist card. After masking off the base and one edge of each piece, the flower from Regarding Dahlias was stamped in Tangelo Twist ink, onto each box side that has a slot in it. A sentiment from the same set was stamped again in Tangelo Twist ink onto each box side that has a handle at the top. The two base pieces were adhered together and the scorelines were burnished.
To assemble at home, all my friends need to do, is hold the handle pieces together and pop the slotted pieces over the top to hold the box in place!
The next team get together will be some time after we get back from Stampin’ Up! convention in October.
Please let me know if you’d like to come along (to the get together that is – Convention booking has now closed).
