Today’s card is a special effort for a special person. The hardest thing was waiting patiently for the Crystal effects to dry – but I think it’s worth it! What about you?

The card base is die cut from Mint Macaron using the Circle Card thinlits and matted with two different patterns of Botanical Gardens DSP. Using Basic Black ink, a sentiment from Tin of Cards was stamped onto a strip of Mint Macaron, trimmed to a banner and adhered direct to the front of the card. Flowers and leaves were die cut from Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Min Macaron and Old Olive (with the leaves stamped with Mossy Meadow ink) using the Botanical Blooms stamp set and Botanical Builder framelits. All the flowers and leaves were coated with Crystal Effects and left to dry. A 2-1/2 ” Circle punched from Basic Black card was adhered to the circle flip and the flowers and leaves adhered direct to the front of the card. A Botanical Garden Jewel and Basic Rhinestones were added to finish.

On the other side of the flip was added a 2-1/2″ Circle punched from Whisper White. This had been stamped with flowers using Crushed Curry, Hello Honey and Cajun Craze inks. The flower was masked and leaves added with Pear Pizzazz ink. Finally a sentiment from Celebrate Today was stamped over the top with Mossy Meadow ink.

Here’s a close up of how glossy and vibrant the Crystal Effects makes everything look!

There are some tips here on using the thinlit card dies that you may find helpful 🙂

Happy Birthday Mari! Hope you liked the card 😀
