Hope you’re having a great bank holiday weekend – despite the weather!
Our wide Burlap Ribbon is one of the items retiring from the catalogue soon. As well as using it as normal ribbon, or fraying it and using it as a background, it can also be used with some of the smaller dies instead of card or paper. Here we created a small flower with it.
The card base is a small square of Crumb Cake, matted with a layer of Very Vanilla card which had first been run through the Elegant Dots embossing folder. A piece of Crumb Cake card was run through one of the Fun Frames embossing folders and fussy cut out close to the outer embossed line. Using Early Espresso ink, a sentiment from Tin of Cards was stamped close to the base of the frame, before popping it up on the card front with dimensionals. A larger flower was die cut from Very Vanilla card using the Botanical Builder framelits and a smaller one from Burlap Ribbon (tip – we put a piece of scrap card beneath the ribbon and ran the die back and forth a couple of times to get a good clean cut). After adhering the flowers together they were popped up in the middle of the frame with a dimensional. The flower was finished with a Basic Pearl in the centre.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday.
