Washi-tape Wednesday – geometric taped panel

May 4, 2016

We’re back round to a Wednesday and back round to washi. Today’s project is really simple, quick and ideal for showing off the matching enamel dots.

geometric washi tech

Simply cut a panel of Whisper White for your card front and wrap pieces of washi tape across the front of it at differing angles. Tip – if you want to add the sentiment as we did below then take care to leave enough open white space for stamping. Add enamel dots in groups and singles in the spaces between the tapes.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Basic Black, matted with It’s My Party DSP. A panel of Whisper White card was wrapped with the Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron tapes from the It’s My Party Washi Tape pack. Using Basic Black ink, a sentiment from the Endless Birthday Wishes set was stamped in between the tapes. It’s easier to mat the panel onto Basic Black card and pop it up on the card front before adding the It’s My Party Enamel Dots (ask me how I know, lol!).

On the inside, another greeting from the Endless Birthday Wishes was stamped in Basic Black ink and a strip of DSP to match the card front was added to the Whisper White insert.

As before, if you don’t have/like washi-tape then you could substitute strips of DSP to make this card.
