A Little Wild bear card

August 17, 2017

Now I have to be honest – when I first saw the A Little Wild set I kinda skipped over it. I don’t make many kids cards and this set is sort of in the kids stamp section of the catty. And then I saw what wonderful cards others were making with it and I was hooked.

Of course the set is ideal for kids cards and new baby cards … and tags as the matching Little Loves framelits cut out an entire tag for you. But I would love to receive these cards and I think I have plenty of adult friends who would too. How about you?

The card base is an A6 portrait of Early Espresso. A card front layer of Crumb Cake was spritzed with water, run through the Big Shot with the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder and left to dry, before adhering direct to the card front. Using Early Espresso ink, a sentiment from A Little Wild was stamped onto a square of Whisper White card and adhered direct to the card front. A frame was die cut from Crushed Curry card using Stitched Shapes and Layering Squares framelits and adhered over the stamped square. Using Early Espresso ink, the front of the bear was stamped onto Crumb Cake card and the beehive onto Whisper White card. Little Loves framelits were used to die cut each out and they were popped up on the card front with dimensionals. Basic Black ink was used to stamp the trio of bees onto Whisper White card a couple of times. Once dry, the bees were coloured with Basic Black and Crushed Curry markers and die cut out with the matching framelits. They were then popped up on the card front using slivers of mini dimensionals and the wings painted with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

On the Whisper White insert the beehive and bees were stamped and coloured as for the front of the card.

Thanks for stopping by.
