Spring Catalogue Sneak Peek Blog Hop

December 18, 2017

Welcome to our blog hop!

I’m just one stop on a global blog hop and each of us is featuring one (or more) sneak peek from the Spring/Summer catalogue that launches on 3 January.

I’m featuring a stamp set, DSP, colouring media and embellishments. The stamps are from the Beautiful Day set which has this butterfly and a large flower, both perfect for colouring in a variety of ways, along with a couple of sentiments and a small pattern stamp. Do you like a bit of glitz? The Painted with Love Specialty DSP has it in spades! Each sheet has gold foil accents on one side and brushstroke images on the other. We previewed the Stampin’ Blends recently but  the full set are available in this catalogue and I had great fun blending two very different colours (the combo came from the DSP) which I think look stunning together! Finally the Gold Glitter Flakes give a great sense of texture.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Rich Razzleberry matted with the Painted with Love Specialty DSP. After stamping the butterfly from Beautiful Day onto Whisper White card with Versamark ink, it was heat embossed with Gold EP. Stampin’ Blends in both light and dark Rich Razzleberry and Calypso Coral were used to colour the butterfly before fussy cutting it out and popping the the centre of the body up on mini dimensionals. Gold Glitter Flakes were added to the centre portions of the butterfly wings with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Just one portion of a sentiment from the same Beautiful Day set was stamped onto a strip of Powder Pink card with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold EP. The strip was flagged at one end and popped up on dimensionals on the card front.

On the Whisper White insert, a strip of the same DSP used on the front was added towards the base. The sentiments were stamped in Rich Razzleberry and they are from a Level 2 freebie stamp set, Happy Wishes, from the Sale-a-bration brochure (free with a £90 spend).

Here’s a closer look at the Gold Glitter Flakes.

Continue on sneaking a peek at the upcoming gorgeous goodies, whether you came from the person before me or after me, all participants are listed below.

Love the background DSP and so neat that just one strip on the inside adds so much. The Gold Glitter Flakes are the perfect added touch to the butterfly.
