New colour combos – day 10 – Blackberry Bliss

August 20, 2018

Day 10 of our new and returning colour focus, where I’m sharing projects that showcase one of these additions to the Stampin’ Up! colour families and suggesting a possible colour combination.

Today we’re using Blackberry Bliss. This is a returning colour in deep, dark, vibrant purple.

Here, it’s combined with the existing Bermuda Bay and our new Gray Granite.

The card base is an A6 landscape of Blackberry Bliss, matted with Bermuda Bay card.A layer of Whisper White card was stamped with the tree stump from Foxy Friends using Gray Granite ink. Mushrooms from the set were stamped around the base using the same ink. Bermuda Bay ink was used to stamp a tree and leaf sprigs (masking off around the tree stump). Using Blackberry Bliss ink, a sentiment from Petal Palette was stamped direct to the card front layer and separate sections of the fox from Foxy Friends were stamped onto Whisper White scraps and punch out with Fox Builder. The stamped layer was adhered direct to the card front and strips of Blackberry Bliss and Bermuda Bay were adhered together and then direct to the card front. Mini dimensionals were used to pop the fox sections up on the card front after the little face (there are several in the set) with the lowest nose position had been stamped onto the head. Faceted Dots of Blackberry Bliss were positioned over the stamped eyes to finish.

On the Whisper White insert, leafy fronds from the Foxy Friends set were straightened out a little and stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink. Mushrooms were added with Gray Granite ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sara xx
