New colour combos – day 15 – Granny Apple Green

August 25, 2018

Day 15 of our new and returning colour focus, where I’m sharing projects that showcase one of these additions to the Stampin’ Up! colour families and suggesting a possible colour combination.

Today’s colour is Granny Apple Green. This is another brand new green and it’s bright! So it was perfect to use with the upcoming Making Christmas Bright bundle 🙂

To keep the overall look bright, it was teamed with the existing Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry.

Most of the elements on this card are sneak peeks from the new catty.

The card base is an A6 landscape of Granny Apple Green, matted with Melon Mambo card. A card front layer of Whisper White was stamped with 2 sets of open star chains from the Making Christmas Bright set (sneak peek), at either side of the layer, using Granny Apple Green ink. The same ink was used to stamp solid star chains in between the open ones. Teeny stars were used to infill the larger open stars using Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry inks. A curved line and a sentiment from the set were stamped between the star chains with Stazon Black ink before adhering the layer direct to the card front. Merry and Bright lightbulbs were stamped onto scraps of Whisper White card using Melon Mambo ink and the “and” lightbulb was stamped in Granny Apple Green ink. Three lightbulb holders were stamped onto Whisper White card using Black Stazon ink. Lightbulbs and holders were punched out with the Christmas Bulb punch (sneak peek). They were assembled and popped up on the card front with mini dimensionals and then light rays were stamped around them with Crushed Curry ink.

On the Whisper White insert, a chain of lightbulbs was stamped across the top with Black Stazon ink and then coloured in with Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry markers. The circle star chain was stamped in Granny Apple Green ink and then sentiments were stamped inside with Basic Black ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hope you’re enjoying your long weekend.

Supplies will be added here once the catty goes live.
