I was only planning a series of three Cross-stitched Christmas cards in contemporary colours, but as I completed the last (pink) one I was hit with the idea of adding this card to the set.

The pink version was such a girlie card that I felt inspired to create a masculine card.

The colour combo is Basic Black, Basic Gray and metallic Silver.

The card base is an A6 landscape of Basic Black which was run through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling embossing folder, just on the right hand edge. Trees from the Cross-Stitched Christmas set were stamped onto a panel of Whisper White using Basic Gray and Smoky Slate inks. Versamark ink was used to stamp the “baubles” and the star, heat embossing with Silver EP. The panel was adhered direct to the card front and framed with two skinny strips of Silver Foil. A sentiment from the set was stamped onto a skinny strip of Whisper White card with Basic Gray ink, matted onto Silver Foil and then popped up on the card front with dimensionals, overlapping it with the tree panel.

On the Whisper White insert, another sentiment from the set was stamped with Smoky Slate ink and then a cross stitch motif was repeatedly stamped down the right side alternating Smoky Slate and Basic Gray inks, to give a border.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.
