Lined alphabet Christmas card

December 14, 2018

I always like to make cards that are a little different and special for our parents each Christmas. I was able to get the Lined Alphabet bundle for half price through one of my workshops earlier this year (email me to find out how) and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try them out!

These stamps and edgelits can be used in quite a variety of ways to make both flat cards and multilayer ones such as this.

The colour combination used is Merry Merlot, Gray Granite and metallic Copper.

Three A6 layers were cut from Merry Merlot and two from Gray Granite. A panel of Joyous Noel DSP (sold out!) was adhered to the back Merry Merlot layer. The “m” and the “s” alphabet edgelits were used to die cut the Gray Granite layers and the “x” and the “a” edglits to die cut the Merry Merlot layers. Another “x” edge lit was used to die cut some more Joyous Noel DSP and the “x” cut away. Using Versamark ink the corresponding Line Alphabet stamps were used to stamp on the die cut letters and were heat embossed with Copper EP. All the layers were cut down on the left hand side so that the stacked layers would clearly spell “xmas” and the die cut DSP was adhered to the top layer. Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible Ribbon was used to tie the layers together in a bow. Merry Christmas thinlits were used to die cut a sentiment from Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper and this was adhered direct to the front layer.

Insert using Star of Light stamp set

On a Whisper White panel adhered to the last layer of the card, a sentiment from Star of Light was stamped in Merry Merlot ink.

The Lined Alphabet bundle is quite straightforward to use and I look forward to making more of these special cards in the future.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great weekend.
