The Frosted Floral suite in the Autumn/Winter catalogue is designed to work all year round. It includes general sentiments as well as a seasonal one.
I’m using it today to create a non-traditional Christmas card. As the DSP patterns are printed on a shimmery paper I chose to use Shimmery White card for the card front elements.
The colour combo is Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow and Merry Merlot.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Night of Navy. Two different designs of Frosted Floral Specialty DSP were cut into three panels and adhered direct to the card front. Skinny strips of Night of Navy card were adhered to the outer edges of the centre panel. Using Night of Navy ink, the seasonal sentiment from the First Frost set was stamped onto Shimmery White card and die cut out with the inner label from the co-ordinating Frosted Bouquet framelits. A mat was created for the sentiment by die cutting the outer label from Merry Merlot card. Three thistles from the First First set were stamped onto Shimmery White card with Night if Navy and three long leafy stems from the same set were stamped with Mossy Meadow ink. These were die cut out with the matching framelits then trimmed and arranged behind the sentiment panel. All were popped up on the card front with dimensionals.
On the Whisper White insert, more leaves and a thistle from the First Frost set were stamped with Mossy Meadow and Night of Navy ink respectively, in the lower right corner. Sentiments from Merry Christmas To All were added with Night of Navy ink.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great weekend.
