I had some wonderful crafting company yesterday afternoon when a lovely lady and her daughter came by to check out the new Stampin’ Up! goodies up close and personal.

We all three worked with the Butterfly Gala bundle and the Sale-a-bration (SAB) freebies, Botanical Butterflies DSP with a splash of SAB Foils. Different colours were chosen for our butterflies and we all ended up with slightly different but equally professional results 😊

My chosen colour combo was Lemon Lime Twist, Grapefruit Grove and Pool Party.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Lemon Lime Twist matted with two patterns of Botanical Butterfly DSP. A skinny strip of Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet was adhered over the join in the papers. One large butterfly was punched from one of the other patterns of Botanical Butterfly DSP using the Butterfly Duet. Black Stazon was used to stamp a large detailed outline butterfly from Butterfly Gala onto Whisper White card and a small detailed outline butterfly from the same set onto Grapefruit Grove Foil. Lemon Lime Twist ink was used stamp the solid upper wings and Pool Party the lower wings, over the top of the original stamped large butterfly. Butterfly bodies were stamped before punching out both the large and small butterflies with the Butterfly Duet. Black Stazon was used to stamp a sentiment from Needle & Thread onto a narrow strip of Whisper White card which was flagged at one end and then popped up on the card front with Mini Dimensionals. A bone folder was used to shape the wings of the larger butterflies and all were adhered direct to the card front.

On the Whisper White insert, a strip of Botanical Butterfly DSP was adhered down one side and small butterflies from the Butterfly Gala set were stamped in Lemon Lime Twist ink.
