Tropical leaves card

April 30, 2019

I was so happy to see that the Tropical Chic stamps and framelits are carrying over to the new catalogue. It inspired me to make this Tropical leaves card, combining the Tropical Chic stamps with Itty Bitty Birthdays and Stitched Rectangle framelits to create a masculine birthday card.

Birthday card using framed leaves from Tropical Chic.

However, after 3 June you will only be able to buy the Tropical Chic products separately. They won’t be available as a bundle with 10% off.

We will be using the Tropical Chic bundle in our face to face May Card classes (Saturday 11th and Thursday 16th). You can order the bundle from me in May, make the 10% saving and attend the class for free!

Instructions

Birthday card using framed leaves from Tropical Chic.

Start with a top folding A6 landscape card base of Pear Pizzazz. Die cut a frame from a card front layer of Old Olive card using a Stitched Rectangle. Stamp a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays direct to the card base, using the die cut frame as a guide. Using Pear Pizzazz ink, stamp the three leaves from the Tropical Chic set, onto scraps of Whisper White card. Die cut the leaves using the smallest Stitched Rectangle and angling the framelit so that one leaf is central and the other two are angled inwards. Pop the exterior frame up on the card front with dimensionals. Pop the leaves up on dimensionals, positioning the outer ones first and then the central one, to keep the spacing even.

Insert using pattern from Tropical Chic and sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays.

On the Whisper White insert, repeat stamp the lines pattern from Tropical Chic across the bottom with Old Olive ink. Using the same ink, stamp a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays in the centre.

Thanks for stopping by.
