Scripty Heirloom birthday card

January 8, 2020

This Scripty Heirloom birthday card is full of texture. A simple colour combo and layout allow the textures to maintain the focus.

The Heirloom Frames set includes both dies and embossing folders to create a rectangular frame and this oval frame. See the rectangular frame on the Sailing Home sample here.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Poppy Parade, Basic Black and Whisper White.

Instructions

Scripty Heirloom birthday card

Start with an A4 portrait card of Basic Black. Take a Basic Black card front layer and run it through the Scripty embossing folder. Adhere the layer direct to the card front. Using the Heirloom Frames set, die cut an oval frame from Poppy Parade and run it through the matching embossing folder from the same set. On a panel of Whisper White card (slightly larger than the inner oval) stamp the birthday sentiment from the Delightful Day set using Black Stazon ink. Colour in the confetti with a Poppy Parade marker. Adhere the stamped panel direct to the front of the card. Pop the oval frame over the top with dimensionals.

The insert uses a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays and images from Delightful Day

On the Whisper White insert, stamp a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays set using Black Stazon ink. Use the same ink to stamp the leaves from the Delightful Day set along the base. Add the flowerheads from the set above the leaves using Poppy Parade ink.

Some of the texture gets lost in the wider photos so here’s a close up.
