Seriously Balmy Blue

February 13, 2020

Another card from the Seriously the Best Project Kit. This one is Seriously Balmy Blue at its base with a Congrats sentiment across. Again I followed the directions entirely and again I decorated the inside of the card. It forms part of a set of cards with this thank you card here.

Kits are great when you need a quick card. You can follow the instructions and everything is done ready for you. They’re also great though for providing a stepping off point. You can use some of the elements provided and then add whatever else you choose from your craft cupboard. I’ll be sharing some of my own versions of these “altered” cards soon.

This time the colour combo mixes Balmy Blue with Terracotta Tile and Pretty Peacock.

Instructions

Seriously Balmy Blue

Using Terracotta Tile ink, stamp the bold “Congrats” sentiment from the Seriously The Best set onto the slanted large label from the Seriously The Best project kit. Use Pretty Peacock ink to stamp the smaller sentiment onto a short banner. Adhere the printed vellum banner to a “leafy” card front layer. Wrap some Baker’s Twine around the vellum banner and tie in a bow. Adhere the card front layer direct to the Balmy Blue card. Cover the adhesive holding the vellum by popping up the large label on the card front with dimensionals. Pop the smaller banner up over the larger with mini dimensionals. Finish with some sequins.

On the inside of the card, stamp another sentiment from the set using Pretty Peacock ink. Add the leaves from the stamp set along the bottom with more Pretty Peacock ink, this time stamping it off first each time for a paler shade.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sara xx
