Stampin’ Up! (SU!) are working to keep everyone stamping and have set us a colour challenge. This is actually SU! stamping challenge 3 so I must have missed a couple already!
The challenge is to make a project using any of the colours pictured below. Use them all or just a few – it’s up to you.
COLOUR COMBO
This colour combo mixes Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.
This is the card I made.
I think the colours are great for a masculine card and this design is fabulous for using up any scrap strips you have left over.
INSTRUCTIONS
Start with an A6 landscape card of Pretty Peacock. Take a bunch of strips of card in your colour scheme. In this case it was Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. On a panel of scrap card, adhere different thicknesses of strips at a diagonal, varying the colours. Trim away any pieces overhanging the panel. Using Early Espresso ink, stamp a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays in the bottom right corner of a card front layer of Pool Party. Adhere the panel of strips above the sentiment. Add a skinny strip of Early Espresso above and below the striped panel and adhere the layers direct to the card front.
Top tip – Your scrap card that you adhere the strips to can be any colour. I used Whisper White but you can use up any stamping mistakes and no-one will ever know as you’re covering them up.
On the Whisper White insert, use Early Espresso ink to add another sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays set in the centre. Repeat stamp another sentiment from the set down the right hand side, stamping off each time for a paler shade and turning the stamp to a different angle.
If you’d like to join in the SU! stamping challenge 3, then please include the hashtag #keepstamping to help us find all the projects.
Thanks for stopping by.
