Ornate 60th birthday card

May 20, 2020

This Ornate 60th birthday card was a commission for a neighbour who is isolating and was worried about how she would get a card for her daughter. As it was for a milestone birthday I went large with this card. It is A5 size (an A4 sheet folded in half).

The card uses lots of elements from the new Ornate Garden suite. This is a brand new suite from the upcoming annual catalogue (out on 3 June) but you can get it now. For more ideas on using the Ornate Border die settled along the bottom of this card check out my Class To Go.

COLOUR COMBO

The colour combo mixes Mint Macaron, Highland Heather and Petal Pink.

INSTRUCTIONS

Ornate 60th birthday card

Start with an A5 portrait card of Mint Macaron. On a card front layer of Whisper White, die cut a flower border from the base using the Ornate Borders die set. Mat with Ornate Garden Specialty DSP and the wrap with Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon before adhering direct to the card front. Using the Ornate Layers dies cut a large panel from Whisper White card. Stamp the large flower spray from the Ornate Style set using Gray Granite ink. Using Mint Macaron ink, stamp the sentiment from Peaceful Moments above the flowers. Personalise the message with stamps from Make a Difference. Colour in the flowers with Stampin Blends.

Pop the panel up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish the card with a bow of the same ribbon and with Champagne Rhinestones.

Ornate 60th birthday card insert

On the Whisper White insert, stamp the sentiment from Beautiful You and the image from the Ornate Style set, both with Granite Gray ink. Colour the flower with Blends. Add scrolled corners from the Ornate Style set with Mint Macaron ink.

Thanks for stopping by.
