Painted Rainbow

June 29, 2020

This Painted Rainbow card uses a lot of different inks and then the Rainbow Glimmer Paper to blend them together further.

Painted Rainbow

I love rainbows and I’ve used our fabulous cardstock to create this Small Bloom rainbow card and this Rainbow butterfly thank you card. It’s the first time I’ve used so many inks to create my rainbow. Although I’ve shown six colours in the combo below, I also used another six paler colours behind them.

COLOUR COMBO

Colour combo mixing Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape.

The rainbow colour combo mixes Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape.

INSTRUCTIONS

Painted Rainbow

Start with an A6 landscape card of Basic Black. On a Whisper White card front layer stamp the medium watermark from Dressed to Impress repeatedly along the centre with the following inks; Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Real Red. Use the large splatter from the Painted Poppies set to stamp over the top of the watermarks with the following darker colours, matching them; Gorgeous Grape, Pacific Point, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler. Using Memento Black ink, stamp a sentiment from Dressed to Impress at the base of the layer. Add two thin strips of Rainbow Glimmer Paper above and below the rainbow stamping before adhering the layer direct to the card front.

Painted Rainbow inside

On the Whisper White insert, stamp a border down the right side using the large splatter from the Painted Poppies set and the following inks; Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape.

Thanks for stopping by.
