These Brightly Gleaming Christmas List Jotters were my swap for our August Paper Dolls meeting recently.
More about them soon. First a quick update of my recent tech problems and updates that I’m planning.
As a crafter, like many of you I’m sure, I prefer to spend my time crafting and creating rather than on a computer. When I allowed an update to my site earlier this week it stretched all my photos out of shape! Nightmare! I did finally find a fix (I hope) which has made it worthwhile continuing to add a project today (there wasn’t much point if you couldn’t see the project properly).
I’ve decided that it’s time to overhaul and update my website and allied media the right way, rather than be pushed into it every few months. My plan is to keep disruption to a minimum but plans don’t always go right so please let me know if you notice anything not working.
COLOUR COMBO
This colour combo mixes Night of Navy, Old Olive and Very Vanilla.
INSTRUCTIONS
Measure the jotter front and prepare the DSP to the approximate size. Take apart the pen, noting how the different parts go back together (tip – video this with your phone if you can, in case you get stuck).
Apply adhesive to the front of the jotter and then add Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP over the top. Trim away any excess paper. Wrap 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon around the top front of the jotter, overlapping and adhering on the reverse inside. Using Stitched So Sweetly dies, die cut a scalloped rectangle from Night of Navy card. Die cut a label from Very Vanilla card. Using Night of Navy ink, mask off part of the sentiment from the Wrapped In Christmas set and stamp just the word “Christmas” in the centre of the label. Personalise and finish the rest of the sentiment using the individual letters from the Make a Difference set. Adhere the label direct to the rectangle and then direct to the front of the jotter. Finish with a few Iridescent Pearls.
Cut a narrow strip of Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP the same length as the pen barrel. Wrap tightly around the ink insert and reassemble the pen.
Each of our swappers got their own personalised Christmas list jotter. They would go very well with this card here if you want to make a little gift set.
Thanks for stopping by.
