This Navy snowflake Christmas pouch was the final make and take at our August Paper Dolls Inspiration Meeting.
As I explained in this earlier post, the theme of our meeting was mixing new products, with those that we already have in our stash. This project combines the So Many Snowflakes dies and Blue Adhesive-backed Gems with the Snowman Season stamp set.
The pouch matches the navy snowflake Christmas card here. It uses the same colour combo as the card.
This is a great design that can be stored flat to take up little room and then simply be filled before gifting.
COLOUR COMBO
This colour combo mixes Night of Navy, Seaside Spray and Whisper White.
INSTRUCTIONS
Start with a 4″ x 12″ piece of Snowflake Splendor DSP. With 12″ across top of the Scoring Tool Board, score at 4-1/2″, 5″, 5-1/2″ and 10-1/4″. Pre-fold all scorelines. Fold the short fold down to create the closure for the pouch. Fold the centre folds into a “W”. Apply Tear & Tape down the long sides of the pouch as far as the centre fold (take care not to continue over onto the closure flap). Adhere the sides together and use a bone folder to press the pouch base out flat so that the pouch can stand up.
Using Night of Navy ink, stamp a sentiment from the Snowman Season set onto a scrap of Whisper White card. Die cut out with a Stitched Shape square. Adhere this direct to a larger Stitched Shape square die cut from Night of Navy card. Die cut the teeny snowflake from Seaside Spray. Finish the centre of the die cut snowflake with a Blue Adhesive-backed Gem. Pop this up
Only apply dimensionals to the bottom half of the reverse of the labels. With the pouch closed, add the labels to the front of the pouch ensuring that no dimensionals touch the closure flap.
The flap now tucks behind the labels to close the pouch.
Thanks for stopping by.
