Today’s tutorial shows how to create a plaid tidings bag. Of course our DSP is great for cards but it’s also brilliant for bags and boxes! Why not make a few gift bags up with the DSP we have on offer this month.
The Plaid Tidings DSP pack has 12 different double-sided designs, some bright, some more subtle. I picked one that is somewhat similar to a popular designer label handbag.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating this plaid tidings bag. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
This paper pack is the same one I used for the black plaid birthday card. With 48 sheets in the pack there’s plenty of designs to choose from. You’ll need 2 identical 6″ x 6″ sheets for this bag.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Shaded Spruce.

Using the All Dressed Up dies, die cut two main bag pieces, two stitched handles and one pocket from 2 sheets of Plaid Tidings DSP. Die cut four buckles and one small button from Cajun Craze card. Assemble the main bag. Thread Foil buckles onto the ends of the bag straps and adhere them in place. Use dimensionals to pop the pocket up on the front of the bag. Adhere the button to the pocket.
Now to find some treats to go in the bag.
Thanks for stopping by.
