Today’s tutorial is for a Tag Buffet kit birthday card. It’s not too late to order this project kit. You can use some elements for last minute Christmas tags and cards and save others to use year round.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Tag Buffet birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Yesterday I only used one of the pretty foiled tags for my card and added a lot of other supplies around it. Today I’ve pulled back a bit. I’ve added a sentiment, one ink colour, two colours of card plus white and some ribbon. All the rest of the supplies come from the Tag Buffet project kit.

The colour combo mixes Flirty Flamingo, Real Red and Metallic Gold.

Tag Buffet birthday card tutorial

Start with an A6 portrait card of Real Red. Cut a card front layer of Flirty Flamingo. Wrap Real Red Sheer Ribbon around the Flamingo layer approximately one ribbon width above the base and secure on the reverse. Adhere the layer direct to the card front. Take a red tag from the Tag Buffet project kit and pop it up on the card front with dimensionals. Press out one of the sets of gifts from the kit and pop it up over the tag with dimensionals. Using Real Red ink, stamp a sentiment from A Grand Kid onto the smallest kit banner and pop up over the base ribbon with dimensionals. Finish by adding a bow of the Real Red Sheer Ribbon to the top of the tag with a Mini Glue Dot.

On the Whisper White insert, add a patterned border along the base by trimming a strip from one of the other red and gold tags and adhering it centrally.
