Today I’m sharing a tutorial for a flowery blouse card. It combines the Suit & Tie die set with the Flower & Field DSP (a Sale-a-bration freebie) to create a more feminine card.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the flowery blouse card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

The Suit & Tie die set is perfect for creating masculine cards. It can also be used to make some pretty feminine cards too.

Colour Combo

The colour combo mixes Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Petal Pink.

Flowery blouse card tutorial

Start with an A6 portrait card of Cherry Cobbler. Cut a card front layer from a more subtle pattern of Flower & Field DSP. Using the Suit & Tie dies cut a deep “V” in the layer and then cut the pocket from the discarded paper. Die cut a placket (part of the blouse where the buttonholes are placed) and collar from a flowery pattern of DSP. Pop the collar up on a panel of the same DSP, with just a small piece of Basic Black card behind it. Adhere the placket just below the collar and adhere the “blouse” behind the initial card front layer.

Adhere the layers direct to the card front. Pop the pocket up on the card front with dimensionals. Die cut buttons from Basic Black card and pop these up on the placket with slivers of dimensional. Using Cherry Cobbler ink, stamp a sentiment from the Art Gallery set onto a scrap of Basic White card. Die cut out with the same die used for the placket and shorten before popping up on the card front with mini dimensionals.

Flowery blouse card insert

On the Basic White insert, using Cherry Cobbler ink, stamp another sentiment from the Art Gallery set. Add a strip of the flowery pattern of Flower & Field DSP used for the blouse down the right side of the insert.
