Tutorial for masculine snail card

March 1, 2021

Today’s tutorial is for a masculine snail card. You may be wondering where the snail is? Well, there is no image of a snail on this card but I’ve used the Snail dies to create it.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Snail die set. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week that use the dies, sometimes with the matching stamp set, sometimes with the matching DSP.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the masculine snail card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

This card uses the matching stamp set only for the little “hello” sentiment. You could easily substitute any other small word stamp (eg. the Well Said stamp set) or you could even hand write the hello.

This was one of the make and takes at our Paper Dolls team meeting last month. If you’d like to join our next online monthly meeting then please get in touch for more information.

Start with an A6 portrait card of Early Espresso. Cut a card front layer of In Good Taste DSP. Thread an Antiqued Slide onto Faux Suede Trim. Wrap around the lower portion of the DSP and secure on the reverse. Adhere the ribbon wrapped DSP direct to the card front. Die cut the teeny message card and envelope from Basic White card using the Snail dies. Using Early Espresso ink, stamp a sentiment from the Snailed It stamp set onto the message card. Fold the envelope sides inwards and the base upwards and adhere closed. Tuck the teeny message inside. Adhere the envelope to a postage edged square die cut from Early Espresso card. Pop them up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with a tiny heart die cut from Poppy Parade card.
