Today’s tutorial is for a Mother’s Day message card. We’re using the same Snail dies used on this masculine snail card but this time we’re putting together a longer message. Of course the same idea can be used for different occasions by switching the messages.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Mother’s Day message card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Real Red, Blushing Bride and Pool Party.
Mother’s Day message card tutorial
Start with an A6 landscape card of Real Red. Mat with card front layers of Pool Party and Snail Mail DSP. Using the Snail dies, die cut one envelope and three message cards from Basic White card. Assemble the envelope and pop it up on dimensionals on the card front. Die cut the teeny heart from Real Red card and add to the envelope. Using Real Red ink, stamp sentiments from the Well Said set onto the message cards. Pop the first two cards up on the card front with dimensionals and adhere the third one direct, tucked into the envelope. Die cut the large toadstool from Real Red card and back with Basic White. Die cut two small toadstools from Pool Party card and back with Daffodil Delight. Pop the toadstools up on the card front.
Here’s a video with a tip showing how to easily cut and assemble the multi-coloured toadstools. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to make sure you see all future quick tips.
Mother’s Day message card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Real Red ink, stamp another sentiment from the Well Said set and a small heart from the Snailed It set. Add a strip of Snail Mail DSP along the base.
