My tutorial today is for an Ornate Forever Gold birthday card. This time we’re combining Ornate Garden Specialty DSP with one of the pre-cut fancy labels from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Ornate Forever Gold birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Please note that the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP, the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper and the Band Together stamp set are all retiring at the end of April. They’re only available while stocks last – don’t miss out.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Magenta Madness, Basic White and Metallic Gold.
Ornate Forever Gold birthday card
Start with an A6 landscape card of Magenta Madness. Mat with Gold Foil and then Ornate Garden Specialty DSP. Press out the leaf-edged rectangle label from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper. The Stitched Rectangles do not fully match the size of the Forever Gold label so select the size that matches the depth of the label. Die cut the Stitched Rectangle from Basic White card. Position the die cut rectangle back in the die to match the width of the label and run through the die cutting machine again (see below).
Using Magenta Madness ink, stamp a sentiment from the Band Together set onto the stitched label. Adhere the sentiment to the Forever Gold label. Pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with Gilded Gems.
Ornate Forever Gold birthday card insert
On the Basic White insert, stamp the flowers from the Band Together set slightly on the left using Magenta Madness ink. Use the same ink to stamp the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by.
