Today’s tutorial is for a Resin Hearts flower card. The hearts are used as the petals of a flower and built up around a central Basic Rhinestone.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Resin Hearts flower card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

I used the white Resin Hearts to add a flower to a mini tag on a previous project and decided to use a few more for this card.

I’ve been using a similar sentiment “far apart but close at heart” from the Well Said set, on many of my cards over the last year. Unfortunately, the Well Said set is retiring but the Lovely You set is carrying forward and this sentiment will work just as well.

Colour Combo

The colour combo mixes Granny Apple Green, Basic White and Real Red.

Resin Hearts flower card

Start with an A6 landscape card of Granny Apple Green. Mat with Real Red card. Using Granny Apple Green ink, stamp different leaves from the Lovely You stamp set onto a card front layer of Basic White card. Start by stamping the longer leaves at the outside edges and centre, then mask the flowers from the top of leaf stems and stamp those leaves in between. Add an upside down Resin Heart at the top of the longer stems, position one of the smallest Basic Rhinestones above it and then fill in with more Resin Hearts all around to create a full flower.

Using Real Red ink, stamp a sentiment from the Lovely You set above the flowers to the left. Wrap Real Red ribbon from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack above the sentiment and secure on the reverse. Adhere the layer direct to the card front and finish with a bow of the same wrapped ribbon.

On the Basic White insert, stamp another sentiment from the Lovely You set with Real Red ink. Add another leaf spray in the lower right corner using Granny Apple Green ink and top with a flower using Real Red ink.
