Today’s tutorial is for a Snowflakes Wonder Christmas card. The Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP will work equally well with new products and with your existing winter and Christmas stamps. I’ve used new on the outside of the card and mixed with an older set (Snowflake Wishes), on the inside.

It combines sneak peek of the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP and the Wonderful Snowflakes, both available from the upcoming mini catalogue from 3 August. The sentiment is also from a new stamp set – Merriest Moments.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Snowflakes Wonder Christmas card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything that’s already available.

Colour Combo

The colour combo mixes Blushing Bride, Smoky Slate and Basic White.

Snowflakes Wonder Christmas card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Blushing Bride. Adhere a card front layer of one the snowflake pattern of Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP, direct to a card front of Smoky Slate and then direct to the card front. Using the Layering Circle dies, die cut a plain circle, just smaller than the Snowflake accent, from Smoky Slate card. Adhere the centre of one of the Wonderful Snowflakes direct to the centre of the circle and pop up on dimensionals on the card front. Using Versamark ink, stamp a sentiment from the Merriest Moments stamp set onto a skinny strip of Blushing Bride card. Cover with White Emboss Powder and heat set. Pop the sentiment up over the snowflake with dimensionals.

It’s difficult the really show the beautiful iridescent sheen to the paper and the snowflake in photographs, so here’s a few seconds of video that shows them to better effect.

On the Basic White insert, using Blushing Bride ink, stamp a sentiment and snowflakes from the Snowman Season set. Add a strip of the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP along the base.
