Today’s tutorial is for a giving gifts tag. The lacy snowflake aperture is die cut from white and paired with navy for a strong contrast.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Giving Gifts dies. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week that share different ideas for using this great die set.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the giving gifts tag. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.
I’ll be using the Giving Gifts dies to create a co-ordinating card to go with this tag, in my Online Workshop on Wednesday evening so please join me by joining the group. The Workshop is free to watch, either Live or recorded and I also offer some little extras, for those ordering with me using the host code on the night (or by 2pm on Friday).
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Night of Navy with Basic White.
Giving gifts tag
Using the Tailor Made Tags dies, die cut a large round edged tag from Night of Navy card. Apply Adhesive Sheet to a panel of Basic White card and die cut both the tag and the snowflakes from the Giving Gifts die set from the backed card at the same time. Peel off the backing from the snowflake tag and aligning it with the navy tag, press them together. Burnish from the back of the tag for better adhesion. Add Basic Rhinestones to the centres of the snowflakes.
Here’s a short video showing how this quick tag comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Giving gifts tag open
Using Night of Navy ink, stamp the To and From sentiments from the Delivering Cheer set onto a Basic White tag. Tie the tags together with White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
