Today’s tutorial is for a bright Friendly Hello card. Most of the patterns in the Friendly Hello DSP are springtime pastels but there are a few that use the brighter Granny Apple Green. I’ve chosen one of these to use today.
Both the Friendly Hello stamp set and the Friendly Hello DSP pack (twelve sheets of 12″ x 12″ double sided papers) are free with a £90 purchase during Sale-a-bration.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the bright Friendly Hello card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own (the order code for the Friendly Hello stamp set and DSP is 159990).
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Granny Apple green, Fresh Freesia and Basic Black.
Bright Friendly Hello card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Basic Black. Adhere a card front layer of Friendly Hello DSP direct to the card front. (Tip – I cut the paper so that the flowers would be central on the layer). Using Smoky Slate ink (this gives a softer look than Memento Black ink), stamp the duo of flowers onto a scrap of Basic White card. Colour the flowers with Stampin Blends and fussy cut out. Pop the coloured flowers up on dimensionals over the top of the white ones within the pattern. Using Gorgeous Grape ink, stamp the sentiment from the set onto Basic White card. Trim to just have the “hello” from the sentiment. Mat onto Basic Black card and pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with some black Adhesive-backed Hexagons.
Bright Friendly Hello card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Memento Black ink, stamp another sentiment from the Friendly Hello set. Stamp the leafy stem across the base repeatedly with Granny Apple Green ink.
Thanks for stopping by.
