Tutorial for quick Beautiful thanks card

June 7, 2022

Today’s tutorial is for a quick Beautiful thanks card. It incorporates several elements of the Abstract Beauty suite. The stamp set and the dies have carried forward to the main catalogue but the bundle saving of 10% and the other elements in the suite are only available until 30 June or while supplies last.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Beautiful Shapes dies. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week, that share different ideas for using these dies with both co-ordinating supplies and totally different supplies. I also used the dies (and the stamps) in my Online Workshop last week.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick Beautiful thanks card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron and Night of Navy.

Start with an A6 portrait card of Blushing Bride. Mat with a card front layer (5-1/2″ x 3-7/8″) of Mint Macaron card. Cut a panel (5-1/4″ x 3-5/8″) of Basic White card. Take two scrap strips of Abstract Beauty Specialty DSP and holding them together snip across at a diagonal. Adhere the strips direct to the Basic White card front layer and trim away any excess. Adhere the layer direct to the card front.

Die cut two different embossed labels from Mint Macaron (larger) and Basic White card (smaller) with the Beautiful Shapes dies. Using Night of Navy ink, stamp a sentiment from the Hello Beautiful set onto the Basic White label. Pop it up on the Mint Macaron label with dimensionals. Adhere loops of Gold Simply Elegant Trim behind the labels and then pop them up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish by adding Adhesive-backed Hexagons to the card front.

Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
