Today’s tutorial is for a quick Gold DSP birthday card. I matched the gold patterns of DSP and have strips ready for a second card.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Starry Sky, Orchid Oasis and Metallic Gold.

Quick Gold DSP birthday card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Starry Sky. Cut a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″ card front layer of Orchid Oasis card. Cut three strips of 1-1/8″ x 5-1/4″ Gold and Silver DSP, mixing and matching metals or patterns. Adhere the two outer strips to the Orchid Oasis layer, keeping the top, bottom and side margins even. Adhere the remaining strip centrally between the other two.

Cut two skinny strips of 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ Orchid Oasis card. Adhere over the gaps between the DSP and then adhere the card front layer direct to the card front. Using Orchid Oasis ink, stamp a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set onto a scrap of Basic White card. Punch out as a plain oval using the Double Oval punch. Punch a scalloped oval from a scrap of Starry Sky card. Adhere the two ovals direct and pop up on the card front with dimensionals.

Quick Gold DSP birthday card insert

On the inside, using Orchid Oasis ink, stamp a sentiment from the Charming Sentiments set. Add borders of Starry Sky card, Gold DSP and Orchid Oasis card along the base.
