Today’s tutorial is for a quick Textural Elements birthday card. Here I’ve combined the Textural Elements with the Leaf Label and Amber Gem Combo Pack, for an autumnal birthday card.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Textural Elements. These pressed-wood pieces are part of the Boughs of Holly suite but can be used for so much more.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick Textural Elements birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Petal Pink, Crumb Cake and Metallic Gold.
Quick Textural Elements birthday card

Start with an A6 landscape card of Crumb Cake. Adhere a 5-1/2″ x 3-7/8″ card front layer of Texture Chic Specialty DSP, direct to the card front. Cut a 3-1/2″ x 2″ panel of Very Vanilla card. Using Early Espresso ink, stamp a sentiment from the Cottage Rose stamp set onto the upper right corner of the panel. Mat onto a 3-3/4″ x 2-1/4″ panel of Crumb cake card. Adhere direct to the card front. Pop a Leaf Label up on dimensionals in the lower left corner of the sentiment panel. Adhere a Textural Element over the Leaf, covering the label hole. Add Amber Gems to the berries of the Textural Element. Finish with a bow of Gold Shimmer Ribbon.

Quick Textural Elements birthday card insert

On the Very Vanilla insert, using Early Espresso ink, stamp two more sentiments from the Cottage Rose set. Add the flower from the set in the lower left corner with the same ink.
