Today’s tutorial is for a duo of alternate Birthday Organizer cards. We’re still using only the Birthday Card Organizer Kit but making a few small changes to each card to give a little variation.
The instructions that come in the kit are only a starting point. You’re free to make your cards your way. Here I’m sharing an alternate design for each. We’re rotating the card layouts so that the more masculine card is now landscape and the feminine card is portrait style. We’ve also mixed up some of the press out elements and this creates slightly different colour combinations to the instructional cards. Of course you still have the co-ordinating envelopes and can tuck the finished cards into your organizer.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the alternate Birthday Organizer cards. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo 1
The more masculine colour combo mixes Basic Black, Basic White and Sahara Sand.
Alternate Birthday Organizer card 1
Start with a Basic Black spotted card base (in landscape layout). Press out and adhere the Basic Black dotted triangle in the bottom left corner, with Tear and Tape. Press out and adhere the Sahara Sand strip across the centre, with Tear and Tape. Peel off and stick the sentiment onto the card front. Finish with Iridescent Sequins.
Colour Combo 2
The more feminine colour combo mixes Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Petal Pink.
Alternate Birthday Organizer card 2
Start with a Soft Succulent card base (in portrait layout). This card base has two different designs printed on the front and the back. For this card use the plain cloudy design for the card front. Press out and adhere the Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen triangle in the bottom left corner, with Tear and Tape. Pop the flower spray up with dimensionals. Use mini glue dots to tuck one of extra leaves underneath the popped up flower. Peel off and pop up the sentiment with dimensionals, tucking the corner under the flower. Finish with Iridescent Sequins.
