Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Basic Black. I stuck with the same colour combo so that you can see more easily what a difference the diagonal cut makes.
Diagonal favored flowers card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Petal Pink. Cut a card front layer (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) of Calypso Coral card. Cut two layers (3-5/8″ x 5-1/4″) of the same pattern of Favored Flowers DSP. Holding the two DSP layers together tightly, cut diagonally from one side to the other (see video). Mix and match the two DSP layers. Using Stazon Black ink, stamp a sentiment from the A Grand Kid stamp set onto the paler pattern of DSP. Adhere the two patterns direct to the Calypso Coral layer, keeping the margins even on all sides. Cut a 1/2″ strip of Calypso Coral card and adhere over the join in the DSP, trimming away any excess. Adhere the layers centrally, direct to the card front. Finish with a trio of Iridescent Pastel Gems.

Diagonal favored flowers card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Stazon Black ink, stamp a sentiment from the Artistically Inked set. Add borders of Favored Flowers DSP and Calypso Coral card down the right side.
Here’s the alternate card I made with the other card front.
