Today’s tutorial is for a floral ribbon thank you card. We’re using both ribbons from the combo pack to add borders and corner decorations to the card front. The DSP used for this card comes from the same Country Floral Lane suite as the Ribbon Combo Pack.

I know that many of my customers struggle a little to tie bows and so I wanted to show how ribbons also can be used to add simple decoration without the need for fiddly tying.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the floral ribbon thank you card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Real Red, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink.

Start with an A6 portrait card of Crumb Cake. Cut a card front layer (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) of Real Red card and then one (3-5/8″ x 4″) of Country Floral Lane DSP. Cut the DSP diagonally from upper right to lower left. Using Real Red ink, stamp a sentiment from the Artistically Inked set diagonally across the centre of a (3-5/8″ x 5-1/4″) card front layer of Basic White. Adhere the sections of Country Floral Lane DSP above and below the sentiment. Adhere the layers direct to the Real Red card front layer.

Wrap a piece of the Real Red Ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack along each diagonal edge of DSP and secure on the reverse. Wrap a piece of the Burlap Ribbon around each corner, again securing on the revers on the reverse. Adhere the layers direct to the card front.

On the Basic White insert, using Real Red ink, stamp the trio of small flowers from the Artistically Inked set in opposite corners.
