Tutorial for Conversation Moments card

April 14, 2023

Today’s tutorial is for a Conversation Moments card. I wanted to show that you can pull sentiments from all your other stamp sets, to use with the Conversation Bubbles bundle. Great if you have short sentiments that will fit, but what if you want to use something longer?

There are two options. One of the dies in the Conversation Bubbles bundle actually runs virtually the width of a card. This die doesn’t have a “top” to it, so you simply trim it to the height/depth you need. The other option is to split up your words as I have done here (see video below).

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Conversation Moments card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Start with an A6 portrait card of Gorgeous Grape. Mat with Hues of Happiness DSP. Cut a panel of Basic White card and using Memento Black ink, stamp the window scene from the In The Moment set (leaving room above for a Conversation Bubble). Colour the image with Stampin’ Blends. I used (mainly light versions of) Fresh Freesia, Night of Navy, Petal Pink, Crumb Cake and Bronze. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the sentiment from the In The Moment set over two lines (see video below), on a scrap of Fresh Freesia card. Die cut out with one of the Conversation Bubble dies. Die cut the same Bubble from Gorgeous Grape card. Adhere the stamped Fresh Freesia inner and the Gorgeous Grape outer bubble to the main panel, above the stamped image. Pop up on the card front with dimensionals.

In this short video I’m sharing three ways to separate words within a sentiment. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.

On the Basic White insert, using Memento Black ink, stamp a sentiment from the Conversation Bubbles stamp set. Add the teeny flower a little way above the lower right corner. Colour the flower with Fresh Freesia and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. Finish with a border of Hues of Happiness DSP along the base.

Thanks for stopping by.
