Today’s tutorial is for a quick flat pearl congrats card. The pretty pearls are flattened out making them easier to mail. Please note that all Sahara Sand products and the By The Bay Specialty DSP retire at the end of the month.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Flat Adhesive-backed Pearls. Each pack includes 80 pearls in two different sizes. I’ll have tutorials for you this week, that share different ideas for using these pretty embellishments.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick flat pearl congrats card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Sahara Sand, Night of Navy and Metallic Gold.

Quick flat pearl congrats card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Sahara Sand. Adhere a (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) card front layer of Night of Navy card. Cut a (3-5/8″ x 5-1/4″) card front layer of By the Bay Specialty DSP to include as many pearl oysters as you can (see video). Adhere this layer direct to the card front. Using Night of Navy ink, stamp a sentiment from the Charming Sentiments set onto a plain oval punched from Basic White card with the Double Oval punch. Adhere direct to a scalloped oval punched from Night of Navy card. Pop this up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish by adding large Flat Adhesive-backed Pearls to the pearl images within the DSP.

On the Basic White insert, using Night of Navy ink, stamp another sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set. Add borders of the By the Bay Specialty DSP and Night of Navy card down the right hand side.
