Today’s tutorial is for a quick irresistible birthday card. This is a simple card that sets the Hello, Irresistible DSP front and centre.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Hello, Irresistible DSP. This DSP pack uses two colours that are returning to our colour families next month; Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock. I’ll have tutorials for you this week, that share different ideas for using these pretty papers.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick irresistible birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sorbet and Daffodil Delight.

Quick irresistible birthday card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Flirty Flamingo. Adhere a (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) card front layer of Sweet Sorbet card. Cut a (3-5/8″ x 5-1/4″) card front layer of Hello, Irresistible DSP to include negative space at the top for stamping into (see video). Using Sweet Sorbet ink, stamp a sentiment from the Irresistible Blooms set into the negative space. Adhere this layer direct to the card front. Colour some Flat Adhesive-backed Pearls with a dark Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blend. Add the coloured pearls to the flower centres within the DSP.

Quick irresistible birthday card insert

On the Basic White insert, using Sweet Sorbet ink, stamp a sentiment from the Share a Milkshake stamp set. Add a border of the Hello, Irresistible DSP down the right hand side.
