Tutorial for irresistible pansy birthday card

April 28, 2023

Today’s tutorial is for an irresistible pansy birthday card. The Hello, Irresistible suite comes with flower stamps and dies, specially designed to be used with the pretty papers. There’s nothing to stop you from using them with different flower stamps and dies from your own stash though!

We no longer stock a DSP designed specially for the Pansy Patch bundle so I thought I’d show how you can mix and match this with the Hello, Irresistible DSP to deliver a pretty birthday card. The Pansy Patch stamp set and dies will be available in the new catalogue but you only have until 1 May to grab them as a bundle and save 10%!

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the irresistible pansy birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Start with an A6 landscape card of Flirty Flamingo. Mat with a (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) card front layer of Hello, Irresistible DSP. Using Flirty Flamingo ink, stamp a sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set onto a panel of Basic White card (see video). Mat onto Flirty Flamingo card and pop up on the card front with dimensionals.

Using the Pansy dies, die cut two large petals from a Flamingo/peach area of Hello, Irresistible DSP. Die cut the lower petals from a more yellow (Daffodil Delight) area of the paper. Add Adhesive Sheet to the back of a large scrap of Flirty Flamingo card and die cut the pansy edge pieces from it. Assemble the pansy and pop the elements up on the main panel with dimensionals. Die cut the base leaf from a Soft Sea Foam area of DSP. Add Adhesive Sheet to the back of a small scrap of darker (Pretty Peacock) DSP and die cut the outline leaf from it. Assemble the leaf and pop on the main panel with dimensionals, tucking it under the pansy. Finish by adding a Flat Adhesive-backed Pearl, coloured with a dark Daffodil Delight Blend, to the centre of the pansy.

Here’s a short video showing how to die cut and assemble the pansy from the Hello, Irresistible DSP. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
