Today’s tutorial is for a bright flipped ombre card. This simple card makes the most of an ombre on ombre design.

If you’re looking for some of the brighter, mixed patterns from this DSP pack, I used them for another three of the card projects in this month’s Online Workshop.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the bright flipped ombre card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and Basic White.

Bright flipped ombre card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Pretty Peacock. Cut a card front layer of Bright & Beautiful DSP to include horizontal ombre lines and negative space at the bottom (see video). Cut a panel of the same DSP from the palest portion of the remaining strip. Flip it upside down so that the white portion is at the top. Using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp a sentiment from the Beautiful Balloons set in the negative white space of the ombre pattern. Repeatedly stamp the mini confetti from the same set beneath the sentiment with the Lost Lagoon ink. Mat this panel onto Pretty Peacock card and pop up on the card front with dimensionals.

Bright flipped ombre card insert

On the Basic White insert, using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp another sentiment from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set. Stamp the small confetti on opposite corners of the sentiment with Lost Lagoon ink. Add a border of the Bright & Beautiful DSP down the right side.
