Today’s tutorial is for a quick elegant borders thank you card. The border here is just used to create a decorative edge to one of the card front layers.

The set includes four different border dies, ranging from narrow to wide. I’ll have tutorials for you this week, that share different ideas for using these decorative dies.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick elegant borders thank you card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight.

Quick elegant borders thank you card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Flirty Flamingo. Adhere a (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) card front layer of Hello, Irresistible DSP to a (2-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) mat of Daffodil Delight card. Cut a (3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″) panel of Petal Pink card. Using the Elegant Borders dies, die cut the edge from one side of the panel. Adhere the DSP and card layers direct to the border layer and then direct to the card front.

Cut a (2-1/4″ x 1-1/4″) Basic White sentiment label. Using Flirty Flamingo ink, stamp a sentiment from the Irresistible Blooms set onto the label. Mat onto (2-1/2″ x 1-1/2″) Flirty Flamingo card. Pop the sentiment label up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with a trio of Loose Frosted Dots.

Quick elegant borders thank you card insert

On the Basic White insert, using Flirty Flamingo ink, stamp a flower from the Irresistible Blooms stamp set. Add border of Hello, Irresistible DSP and Flirty Flamingo card down the right side.
