Today’s tutorial is for a quick duo ribbon thank you card. This design uses just the ribbons in the combo pack but it is also a great way to use up any ribbon scraps you have lying around.

The DSP on the card front are two separate patterns from the Bright & Beautiful DSP pack (included in the 15% off sale).

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack (from the Zoo Crew suite). This pack includes 10 yards each, of Petal Pink and Lemon Lime Twist ribbons. Use them in combination or individually. I’ll have tutorials for you this week, that share different ideas for using these pretty ribbons.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick duo ribbon thank you card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Lemon Lime Twist, Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo.

Quick duo ribbon thank you card

Start with an A6 landscape card of Petal Pink. Cut a (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) card front layer of Bright & Beautiful DSP. Trim strips of another pattern of Bright & Beautiful DSP, following the pattern break. Adhere these strips to either end of the DSP card front layer and then adhere direct to the card front. Using Flirty Flamingo ink, stamp a sentiment from the Biggest Wish set onto a Basic White rectangle. Mat onto Petal Pink card. Add a strip of Tear & Tape behind the base of the sentiment panel and apply lengths of the Duo Ribbon Combo Pack to the tape. Trim the ribbons to varying lengths, snipping in different directions (see video). Pop the ribboned sentiment up on the card front with dimensionals.

On the Basic White insert, using Flirty Flamingo ink, stamp another sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set. Add a border of the Bright & Beautiful DSP along the base.
