Tutorial for die cut crafting with you card

July 7, 2023

Today’s tutorial is for a die cut crafting with you card. This time we’re creating our own background for the card by using stamped and die cut images to create a pattern.

This is a great card to send to a fellow crafter or to accompany a hand crafted gift. The Crafting With You bundle covers knitting, sewing, embroidery, painting and paper crafting.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the die cut crafting with you card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Start with an A6 portrait card of Lost Lagoon. Adhere a (5-1/2″ x 3-7/8″) card front layer of Pretty Peacock card. Cut a (5-1/4″ x 3-5/18″) panel of Lost Lagoon card. Using Lost Lagoon ink, stamp the knitting wool image from the Crafting With You set multiple times (I did 12) onto scraps of Basic White card. Die cut these out with the matching Crafting With You dies. Adhere these direct to the Lost Lagoon card front layer, with some of the images hanging from the sides. (Tip – lay these out without adhering first, to get the feel of your pattern – see video). Trim away any overhanging images and adhere the layer direct to the card front.

Punch a 2-3/8″ Circle from Basic White card. Using Lost Lagoon ink, stamp a semi-circular sentiment from the Circle Sayings set at the top of the circle. Stamp the another sentiment below using Pretty Peacock ink. Switch back again to Lost Lagoon ink and stamp the knitting wool image underneath the sentiments. Die cut a basket from Crumb Cake card using the Crafting With You dies. Adhere the basket over the stamped wool, allowing it to peek out from the top. Pop the stamped circle up on the card front with dimensionals.
