A friend came over recently for a little crafting session and was interested in what the new In Color Fresh Fig looked like and so had a test stamp of it onto some Very Vanilla card. From that simple start, this card emerged – amazing how inspiration strikes isn’t it?
I loved the Fresh Fig and Very Vanilla combo and something about it made me think of Christmas, so I decided to keep the colour combo front and centre and keep the rest of the design simple for this card.
The card base is a small square (4-1/8″) of Fresh Fig. A small card front layer (4″) of Very Vanilla was die cut with the poinsettia corners from the Card Front Builder dies both top and bottom. A sentiment from Carols of Christmas was stamped in Fresh Fig in the centre (using a Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the placement right) and then the layer popped up on the card front with mini dimensionals.
On the Very Vanilla insert, more poinsettias from the Carols of Christmas set were stamped in the corners and a sentiment from Flurry of Wishes added, all with Fresh Fig ink.
